Design Director and co-founder of MAS, fluent in Greek and English, Marianna is an ETEK Architecture Director at Demetriou & Nicolaou Construction and Developments Ltd. with M.Arch and BA (Hons) degrees in architecture from the University of Brighton, UK, in 2017 and 2014 respectively.
During her studies, Marianna achieved the Academic Award for Best Results in Art and Design from the GC School of Careers in 2011, received the Parents and Guardian’s Association Award for Excellent Results in Art and Design in 2011, and won the Award for the Best Design of a Cypriot Coin in 2004.
Marianna has gained valuable experience as an architectural assistant at; Kyriakos Tsolakis Architects in Nicosia, Cyprus; Fernando Menis Architecture in Tenerife, Spain; Richardson Architecture Limited in Lewes, UK; Vafeades & Vafeades in Nicosia, Cyprus; and Michael Michael in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Her portfolio of work ranges from high and low density residential buildings to high-end residential new-builds, conversions, renovations and extensions, to urban planning and large scale commercial, cultural, and public infrastructure in countries including; Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Spain, and UK.
Marianna has a love for art and design and is highly passionate about the social impact that architecture has on communities in order to find new ways of living. Through studying the behaviour and ruination of materials as well as traditional and historic architecture, sustainable solutions can be found for modern needs.
